Leaux Tide Outdoors was created one night when its owners, David Richardson and Shaun Lambert, were having one of their usual conversations about their love for fishing, hunting, and anything having to do with the outdoors. After swapping stories about monster bucks, duck hunting, and their biggest fishes caught in Venice, they started talking about David’s Gator Tail surface drive boat. They were basically obsessed with the fact this boat could get you wherever you needed to go and the boat’s motor was the driving force behind it. Both David and Shaun thought it would be cool to create a design like nothing they had ever seen before.

They started sketching the surface drive boat’s motor onto a piece of paper and talked about how awesome it would be to have this motor along with a logo on shirts and hats. After many days of racking their brains for a company logo name, they finally had come up with something that fit their idea perfectly- Leaux Tide Outdoors. Being from the south it was only natural to spell the word low “Leaux”. They also liked the idea that Leaux Tide Outdoors could be shortened to LTO. While they love their original motor design, they realized they couldn’t created a company without  incorporating their other loves- deer hunting, fishing, and duck hunting.
